Academic Research Projects Already Developed

Leadership in the development of activities in six research projects financed by the FAPERJ funding agency and one by the FAPERJ-FAPESP agencies:

1- Digital mapping of the Quaternary plain of the Paraíba do Sul River and the effects of Porto do Açu on coastal environments in the North of Rio de Janeiro. (Process FAPERJ ES-26/112.630/2012) (Coordinator).
2- Integrated spatial analysis in Bonfim, Petrópolis, RJ, applied to land use and vegetation cover, with the support of geotechnologies. (Process FAPERJ ES-26/111.893/2012) (Coordinator).
3- Application of geotechnologies in guiding Earth use based on the Impacts of global climate change: coastal river basins in the state of São Paulo and the state of Rio de Janeiro. (Process FAPERJ ES-26/111.619/2011) (Coordinator).

4- Geographic Information System (GIS) applied to integrated spatial analysis supported by socioeconomic data, aimed at territorial development, in the industrial area, on a regional scale. (Process FAPERJ ES-26/190.110/2010) (Coordinator).
5- Digital mapping and monitoring of mangrove areas on the coast of Rio de Janeiro, using digital geoprocessing and spatial analysis technologies. (Process FAPERJ ES-26/110.830/2010) (Coordinator).
6- Biological Diversity on Ilha Grande: a synthetic analysis of the processes and basis for long-term research. Coordination: Dr. Helena de Godoy Bergallo (Institute of Biology – UERJ) (Collaborator, Coordinator of the Geoprocessing area).
7- Digital Thematic Cartographic Mapping of the Coastal Plain of the Paraíba do Sul River with the Support of Sensory Images. Research Support (FAPERJ/APQ1/2006) – (Process FAPERJ E-26/170.128/2006) (Coordinator).
