Mapping of Territorial Waters

In relation to the distribution of oil and gas royalties in Brazil, cartographic methods and techniques were developed that allow, with legal support (1953 to 2015), to establish a unique solution from a geometric point of view in the geospatial configuration of the physical limits in the oceanic portion of the domain between Brazilian municipalities and states.

Cruls Mission: a Path to the Future

In 2003, with the support of Fiat do Brasil and the Federal Government, the trajectory carried out in 1892 by Luiz Cruls (civil engineer and geographer), a Belgian military officer, appointed to lead a multidisciplinary team aiming to demarcate the Cruls quadrilateral, which gave rise to to the territory of Brasília/DF, in the central Brazilian plateau. The Cruls Report was generated in 1894, considered the first Environmental Impact Report known in Brazil.
